Well, we start off with a couple of days of winter and then proceed straight to late spring. I'll try to be better about not having other things that require my attention. Vann's tomorrow?
Anybody who would ordinarily take 400 N. might want to check their traffic app before going. Road work creating delays after exit 12. There may be a way around that.

R, any reason the lines are shorter than I would have expected?
Yeah - would have been better day with longer lines, but I was trying to get this control system to work. The idea is to use short lines to open up access to places where longer line kites are not a practical option (such as the place near my house which I showed in post 12 last week of this thread: https://windsportatlanta.com/content/week-march-12-31018.) Varying line length also provides as means of increasing or decreasing the kite power and effectiveness. I usually use 25 m lines for the buggy and boat for example.
This particular design is unique in that it allows for instant depower by simply tilting back the handle and can be used one handed (though I sometimes need both hands). These are available in the marketplace.

Chris, that's not very nice. The guy below doesn't have any more room on his sign to add windsurfers or windfoilers. Now, he has to go home and make another one.

I might join you at Vanns after lunch

Raining and 40 at the moment. Lets see if things get more rational. Who do you think I am? Barrett?
Please post when you head to Vann's. I'm waiting for conditions to improve. Even I have limits.
Barrett
No rain almost 50.
Vann’s for me around 2.

I'm holding off for Monday - Fx says more wind & not as cold. How about VP?
Barrett
44 degrees. Overcast. Maybe 10 mph of wind. Marek folds socks. I think I'll organize my cup collection.

Things seemed perfectly rational to me. Plus, my socks are all folded now.

Monday - no rain, strong East wind, and not as cold. Anyone up for sailing at Van Pugh?

Randy, here's something for you
Windsday and Flyday!
What do you think– funny... or going to Hell?

Well, silly me, I didn't figure on the white out.
For me, though, I was already tagged on the first line.
(Good job, btw.)

Probably would help to read the posts on my own front page...

I wonder if that is a old school Wind Weapon, a new school Kitewing, or a Redneck DIYwing. Looks to me like the later.

Looks goofy now, but he did get to fly the foil. The first windsurfer looked very goofy too...so you never know. Good to see people experimenting.
