Saturday Shivers

I think I'll try to fly in the afternoon when it's not ridiculous. It's days like this when West Point tempts me.

West point or Clark Hill would be fine with me as a change of venue . If West Point Lake is the warmer then I vote to go there

Please post if you go to Van Pugh. East wind usually gets gusty & drops by Noon, so I'm keeping an eye on the forecast to see if it warms up early enough in the day to catch some good wind.

Just the NOAA janitor's way of saying "No Wind in the Forecast." Or maybe just his day off.

Forget the wind graph. The temp graph is about 10 degrees too low. It needs to be recalibrated back up.

I'm going to Old Fed in the morning. Graduating to the 30cm mast and rippining the foil. Hope to see some of you our there freezing your nuggets off with me!

+1 . Gotta meet a man about a board around lunch and I'm not in the mood for 43 degrees yet. I haven't had my few good 55 degree west shortboard days at Van Pugh yet. This fall sucks.

I guess I'll head to Van Pugh. Hard to pass up, although cold air, warm water, sunny and WINDY.

Another fun day
Ana joined us at Vanns. She did very well on Tim's Starboard Go.
Roger was packing up from Kiting when I got there
Webguy got to fly some and I had many fast reaches on the Mistral.
Ed sailed over from VP and passed me like I was in reverse while I was on the AHD.

VERY glad the water is still warm

Re: Saturday Shivers

The wind was steady with solid whitecaps when I arrived at Van Pugh, but by the time My 7.0m was rigged, it started dropping off, so I rigged up to an 8.5. David S. Attempted to kitefoil. Gene arrived late & didn’t sail. Ed & Jim pulled up as I was leaving. Glad to hear Ed got out with some wind.

Foiled on the 6.0. Wind filled in late afternoon and had some really long flights. Finally feeling somewhat competent at this.

Ana had an absolute blast on the Go and Langdon's trainer sail. This was probably her second time windsurfing ever. We can't emphasize enough how good it is to learn on proper kit and getting some type of instruction even if it's from a knucklehead like me. She was uphauling and riding in with confidence.

I think perhaps the secret to that GO is that feeling of confidence it gives that no matter what, you can't really do much more harm to it than has already been done by its previous owners.
