Too bad the dollar has lost 10% against the euro in the last 6 months. For some reason, I think those vertical tail fins will show up more on race foils.
CV, any mention of the size sails they were running? I think that Steve Sylvester has a lot of input into the boards Alex is building. From USA4's blog, Xavier is the big dog in local racing out there.
SF Bay Challenge - winds 25-30. Steve Bodner was doing it on a 9m kite. The kites smoked this year with the winner, Nico Parlier, cutting off 15 min from the previous record.
The foil he uses: https://gofoil.com/product/maliko-foil-with-tuttle-box-plus-shipping/ This is supposed to get a big guy up at 4-8 mph board speed. If I win the lottery, I'm going to buy one of these or the big Mako. It's not my first choice as that big wing would be draggy and a PITA in high winds but I'd love to explore the low wind side of things.

Renders from Alex:
Jibes & loops!
I feel better about myself around 2:02
Lots of jibes for windlord
Manta has a neat and affordable multi-use foil and an inflatable board

Eleven of the top sixteen were on foils.

What happened to Vesper (15th)? He was 2nd in race 1 followed by a DNF and two DNCs.

Another take on foiling: Windsup foiling https://reefwarriors.wordpress.com/2017/08/02/windsurfing-wave-foiling/

Interesting take on racing on a foil. Short version: Foil with 9.0 is faster around race course than Formula with 12.5 - like, a lot.
For the foil-inclined, a lot of good stuff on Starboard foils, racing, board width, etc. Crappy sound because of the wind but worthwhile.
