Hmmm. Should make a great sail for foiling according to Robby Naish's video. He says you want a softer sail without many battens that has the center of effort aft with a longer boom. https://windsurfatlanta.org/comment/40354#comment-40354

This is just plain cruelty from the NWS forecaster (6/20 map)
"High-pressure systems are frequently associated with light winds at the surface ... During the day, since no clouds are present to reflect sunlight, there is more incoming shortwave solar radiation and temperatures rise. " https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pressure_system#High-pressure_system
Yeah - the Laser worked great today. It wasn't really wind but more like moving air. Of course, Gene and I are both self certified Laser Captains now and all weather sailing experts.

He's not wrong.
So all those guys selling old junk on Craigs list are now going to get the last laugh (at us modern gear snobs.)

There's hope!
Probably time to revive this thread. The next week looks great for anything that requires calm winds.
Yea, like dirt bikes.

Randy and I sailed today (Friday 7/14) and Wednesday. We didnt plane but were able to move around on the Laser, blowing around 5 mph.

Might try this. CR looks like a better place to buy sailboats than windsurf gear.
