I think I saw this on the Chinook web site, or maybe Ezzy. Not really sure. But it could be helpful.

The water is warming up. You are missed.

I'm not big into guns, but I'd prefer 45, or a baseball bat wrapped in barb wire when it comes to spiders. Near the top of my least favorite creatures.

I did the water thing yesterday at Galts along with Eddy O. I've got more video on that I will try to get around to posting.

Ironically, he sailed his old (Blue) Techno which is now as good as new after I told him the proper way to fix the problem of non-skid wearing out. (Hint - it doesn't involve putting on redek, epoxy, sugar, acrylic dust etc.)

Skateboard grip tape, or safety tape from ACE Hardware (and probably other places) works for me. I've used it on several boards. Ace usually sells by the foot and you only need a few feet. Round the edges and apply it only to the areas where you are likely to put your feet - near the mast track, in front of the foot straps, for ex. I've not had it come off due to water. Since it doesn't cost that much, you can replace it if need be.

Other options:

There are a ton of deck pads on ebay
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=deck+pad+-eye+-loops&_sop=15&_osacat=159136&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xdeck+pad+-eye+-loops+-eyes.TRS0&_nkw=deck+pad+-eye+-loops+-eyes&_sacat=159136

or something like this:
http://www.austinkayak.com/products/17913/DeckMat-Traction-and-Silent-Pads-18-X-38-inch.html
(they have other sizes)
avoids the black stair tread aesthetic and pleasant to step on.

Sugar decks, etc are a PITA to apply but the advantage is that the board's appearance remains somewhat original.

Might work. I couldn't tell if it came with glue, or is sticky or what. Have to hope the shape works on your board, but might be a good solution. I never had good luck with redek. It looked good for a day or two, then turns yellow and loses its grip very quickly. The sugar and epoxy takes a some skill in applying and can turn out downright ugly. (Don't ask how I know.)

Quote:
specs: • Includes one 18 X 38 inch pad • Stay silent and improve traction • Easily cut to custom sizes with sharp knife or scissors • Comes in black, gray or urban camo • Self-adhesive backing

I used contact cement on pad I got from Murray's Marine when I was refurbing my Starboard Freeformula. Not too difficult. Unfortunately, I didn't see any inexpensive pad on their site today.

I'll take a look at your stuff sometime out of curiosity.

Some of the boards I've had were not worth spending $27 on. If not when I first got them, then after I owned them a while.

Back to water sports. This would look better in a VR viewer (or phone app) but yesterday was pretty nice in the AM. SUK* followed by 7.3 both on my PacifiCo. I'm on a roll - Thursday Buggy; Friday SUK; Saturday Buggy; Sunday SUK/Windsurf. I love this place........
