Well, it was a beautiful day. Not quite enough wind or water (it's pretty low up there). Probably would have tried it but with the next couple of days forecast, we decided to wait.
I should have figured it out from Radny's remarks elsewhere, but the Day Use area at Galts is closed. You could launch from the boat ramp but that would be squirrelly in an east wind... it would be a long carry from the boat parking to the regular beach.
