As the weather gets a little colder we’re all in need of some windsurfing inspiration, and today it’s coming from 70-year-old reader and windsurf addict Teena Gustafsson. We catch up with Teena to find out if anything will ever stop her windsurfing…

Teena is amazing. Unless the photos are retouched, she does not look age 70. It must be those warm showers at her favorite lake after windsurfing that keep her going. I think we've lost our female windsurfers in Atlanta due to cold water. Wouldn't warm showers be nice at Van Pugh!

I was going to make some lame joke about "English weather, no UV rays, mumble, mumble" and then I looked at the photo gallery. Seeing that shot of her beside the pool should make every actress and take up windsurfing. Who needs botox?

I to have given up the cold and for good reason. It's cold.

Here is my role model - check it out - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apKRX-MOwxo

Oldest guy I ride dirt bikes with is Me. I am the only old serious rider around Atlanta.

What's that saying? - "There are old dirt big riders and bold dirt bike riders, but no old, bold dirt bike riders."

Yeah the enthusiasm for cold water sailing has sort of left me behind. Cold and lousy weather seems to be the only conditions that free up my favourite parking lot, so that's my opportunity to do my land kiting. Keeps me dry. I'm also the oldest kite rider around these parts. Of course, there are only 2 in Atlanta anyway.

I gave up on the cold windsurfing as well....unless it's really windy. Which means that in ATL I gave up.

All you weasels - you realize this woman sails in December in the N. Atlantic, right? Cornwall is a place where you may well wear a sweater in June.

Well, keep in mind that "The Atlanta Boardsailing Club was organized in 1978 and is one of the oldest in the country." When our own web page declares us to be one of the oldest bunch of windsurfers in the country what do you expect? We will probably start acting like geezers.......

What?

Music 2 Everyone now wants to quit sailing in the winter, just when I've decided to start sailing in the winter again. After all there is more wind on one day in the winter than there was in all of Sept, Oct. Nov. and Dec.

?I wear a sweatshirt in June. Doesn't everyone?

BTW - since you have been there, do you have her email address. I see that she sails a Mistral Ecstasy. Maybe she would like to buy mine. You could take it the next time you go.

Good point. Will amend. Won't have a chance to do it until later today as I'm scheduled for my weekly sponge bath.
