Re: Saturday

I am most likely going out either this afternoon 4ish or tomorrow morning. I can be persuaded either way based on anyone else who wants to go out. If it's today, it'll be Galts, tomorrow morning probably Galts but maybe Lanier.

Re: Saturday

VP report: Pat and Doug got there first. Followed by (in no particular order) myself, Jim C., Stephan, Barrett, Ed, Ed's daughter, Gene, Chris P., Chris V.. Did I leave anyone out?

First hour, 9.5 was the call until the man in the yellow hat got his new light air weapon wet. The wind had an allergic reaction and hit the lower 20s. Those of us with the bigger stuff scurried in to rig down and everyone was lit up. Chris P sailed a 5.8 and planed a fair amount for a day that was supposed to be 10-18. Chris V. was unlucky and arrived for the late afternoon lull. Filled in again late afternoon and leeches were afluttering.

Gainesville reports 10-14 today. For once, it was quite a bit stronger on the water.

Three cheers for the gentleman at the front gate who came down to talk to us and take pics. Sweet guy who was very jazzed for us. Hey, Galts! that's how it's done. Lots of good vibes on the beach and water. Damn good opening day.

I went out as Bill and Randy were leaving Galts. I sailed a 7.5 and that was just right. It was a good day!

Re: Saturday

Barrett, many thanks for the photos. Unfortunately, a) I look like an angry gopher in #3, and b) I think I'm oversheeting but I'm not really. Gotta work on that.

Shout outs to Ed and his daughter. She was killing it today. Ed has come a long way in a year. He's gone from visiting Bozo Island and breaking the noses off boards to getting halfway around on his jibes on a pretty windy day. Way to go, both of you!

Apparently, web server issues zapped Randy's treatise on Galts. Sorry, Randy. Anyone else at Galts other than the 3 amigos?

edit: Barrett, dang good camera there, bud. In the picture of Gene, you can see Brown's Bridge through the trees clear as day. According to the Google, that's 5.3 miles. Boy, college dorm life would have been fun with a camera like that. You know, for photography class... Acute

Heck of a camera and a clear day. When I stopped by there Thursday, couldn't see any of the mountains to the north.
