Big/long board sessions. Maybe enough in the puffs to get moving. It's summertime and I'm desperate.

May nip up this afternoon and rinse the 9.5 off at Van Pugh.

Looks like it might be a little breezier at Allatoona. Either that or somebody from Dobbins just made a really, really low pass.

Live report 2:15. Good for centerboards but no white caps

I did my kite thing again at Little Ridge today. Pretty much like yesterday. Enough wind for science experiments, not enough to plane on a real windsurf board, and even longboarding would have been more mellow than exciting.

Saturday is shaping up to be interesting. Planning to be at Sunrise before noon to nab a parking space. The beach hasn't been that crowded as most of the people seem to be going around the corner to picnic, etc.

btw, renewed my parking pass. $30 for a year is a really good deal. We just reupped at Stone Mtn Park and that was $40.

Forecast for Saturday is really good showing NW wind. NW is better at Van Pugh if parking available. Hope to arrive by Noon if wind is picking up.

Sunrise it is. You know, I live only 1 mile from Sunrise down Flat Creek.

Yesterdays forecast called for 25. I didn't believe that anyway. Now forecast is for 5-15 gust to 20. Perfect Hobie Cat weather but a bit short for me to plane on my windsurfer. So Hobie Cat it is.

Good, I am ready for a session. Been too long. After renewing my parking pass at VP I will head to Sunrise.

If it matters and gets you on the water quicker, Sunrise doesn't require a pass. Barrett is trying for VP if you really need to be that way and don't want to kill another 20 min driving around. Not that we wouldn't like to see you Pleasantry

It's more fun to sail with others than by yourself. I think William will agree.

The Hobie is not bothered by boat wakes nor washing machine chop.

I agree, but the wind doesn't appear to be picking up, so I'm skipping today. Maybe Tues.

Had to reef the sail twice due to the wind picking up.

Left everyone else on the water with a big storm coming. I got home before the lighting, did you?

Fun day with great buds.

Chris P., William, Stephen, Pat P. and another windsurfer I did not know that was there when I arrived but left very shortly thereafter.

Hope nobody got sunburned.

So guys - aside from David dodging lightning - how was it? I SUKed at the river, having started too late to get parking at the lake and too lazy to drive.....

Planed enough times to call it an honest outing. Not close enough to match my hopes for the day. CP probably had the most fun on an original Superlight. The rest of us rigged 9.5s with one 7.5. Alan Sloman rigged about 15.0 on his Cat 25 and Peelskid, for once, was the fastest sail for most of the day.

The wind went from planing to zero just about the time we needed to come in. One pumps with so much more enthusiasm after hearing the sweet and melodious refrains of thunder.
