Watching this surprise east wind today got me wondering: what's the latest on parking trailers at Galts. Are they still restricted from the lower lot? It's a bit closer to my house for an afternoon session but if I have to spend 5-10 minutes of time chucking stuff into the back of the van, maybe not.

I have a custom built kayak trailer (4'x4'-6" Harbor Freight) and as of this past labor day, they insisted I park at the ramp. Since the trailer was so small w/o the yaks, I just slid it under my SUV and they were ok with it...but hey weren't happy.
ugh...
My typical passive-aggressive nature says that on a busy day, I should park where they want me to and then carry my 9.5 very..... slowly.... through... the... parking lot.
I think now there is no one actually at the park gate, so you can do what you want. In a few weeks they will be open for business, and like they have done since God was boy - trailers in the boat parking lots.....
BTW - the 15-20 readings today at Lanier seem overstated. I was actually at the lake (Mary Alice) today flying more kites from 10-1 ish. The wind probably topped out at 10 at best. Might have been nice longboarding, but even that would have been a bit lame. Tidwell and Vann's might have been a bit better, but I doubt that much better. I wanted to sail today, but owing to my late arrival, I figured that wind would be done by 11 anyway. Held on a bit longer. May have picked up after I left. So guys - don't feel bad - you didn't miss it. Instead of kite videos today its just a picture.
