What a great day on June 30th.

I though there was a lot of wind. I wanted to get out on the trapeze but when the gust came they wanted to flip the boat over so I was constantly having to release my main sheet line. never did flip and I am glad I didn't. Sailed for about 3 hours and I was tired but not as tired as windsurfing. Finally came in because I lost a nut on a bolt that holds the rudder to the boat. I keep finding little things wrong with the boat each time I take it out.

There was another Hobie, a 14 I think, that came out after you left David. They had a tough time keeping it right side up. I saw him go over 3 times & turtled once. I finally was able to "trap off the wing", though briefly... weird being so far out there in gusty conditions. Here's a guy doing it on a 17 Sport (w/ jib):

Those two guys were launching when I was putting up. They were on a rainbow sail on a Hobie 16.

I watched them too. Maybe they were unsure as to what to do with that much wind.

I thought that was a pretty good amount of wind for a Hobie.

When it get over 25 mph the boat becomes a handful.
