I plan on going to Van Pugh after 1PM (assuming the temp rises over 40F). Wind from the NW will be side on-shore across a large expanse of open water, making Van Pugh better than Old Federal for windsurfing.
Quick report - Barrett, Chris P, Randy and I sailed, it was windy, but not as much as forecast, sails 5.2-5.7, the wind was up and down, not so much gusty, but would blow for awhile and then slack way off for awhile, and it was fairly cold, low 40's, but the sun really helped. It was a fun day.
Last Sunday 18th, I was able to go out on a new 07' Sonic 11m and a Litewave Stealth board size 137cm. The GK Sonic really rocked. This new little weapon felt solid, fast, and powered almost all of the time. At times it luled, and it was necesary to sign the kite up and down and wait for the wind speed to pick up again. But even in the lul, the kite delivered enough power to keep ground against the wind. Same easyness feeling as with GK Sonic's 2006. This kite continues to be a stress free machine. Bar pressure is a bit more noticiable than on the 2006 version (which is good), but not enough to tire your arms or upper body.
Stay tuned for the Demo Day at Saint Simon's Island. Most probably it will be on March 31st and April 1st. Litewave Dave have confirmed his attendance and this year we will be rafling some new gear as well. As last year event, we want to have a super fun event, and will be having all of the new GK and Litewave gear for your use. Save the dates, and I will be sending more info later on.
