Hey Gene. Yep, Saturday was an excellent day to start off a week in Hatteras -- 4.7-5.5 all day. I am glad Elizabeth and I got here early so we could sail since the forecast looks so darn lousy the rest of the week. On a postive note, the island looks pretty good considering how hard it got slammed just a few weeks ago, although it does seem that Rodanthe had more damage than Avon. Several dunes just south of Oregon Inlet have been completely flattened so there may be some road delays in that area if you are trying to cross during high tide!
