Reading the thread about rack pads (and using surrogates such as pipe insulation and pool noodles for the more expensive commercial alternatives) got me wondering, what's your favorite tip or trick?
My personal favorite: 3M packing tape- great for monofilm repairs. I've had a repair last 3 years on one sail. And, recommended by sailmakers and sail repairers, too.

I have 2 tips:
1. Get plastic baggies from the grocery store (best are the umbrella bags from Publix, but any will do.) Put them on your feet before putting on your wetsuit and booties. Feet slide EASILY in and out.
2. Put of piece of duct tape on your mast at the joint before putting into the sail. If the mast is inclined to come apart, will prevent it (preventing possible breakage or re-rigging.) Also keeps sand out of the joint, so that it will easily come apart at the end of the day.
