Does anybody know of any information regarding the design or operation of a tandem windsurfer? If I ever complete the board I'm currently building, a tandem seems like an interesting next project.
Make sure you mount the two mast bases, one in front of the other not side-by-side. The latter can cause damage to the headgear when trying to turn. Also, did you see the pictures of the mid-winters on Iwindsurf.com. Look closely and you'll see the infamous Plop in the background trying to stay out of the way. Also note the blue board and rig missing its occupant. I think I was diving for oysters when the picture was taken.
F2 still make the tandem windsurfer. I've riden it a couple of times in Hatteras and I remember it as the most I ever laughed while windsurfing. It was so much fun. Use smaller sail in fron-- about 1 and 1/2 meter smaller than sail in back. If it would fit itn my trailer I'd get one jsut for teh attention it would bring. Cost about $2k, though.
